The following administrations issue seafarer competency and proficiency certificates that are accepted for endorsement and service on Zanzibar-flagged vessels under the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Convention:

Notes on Recognition• Certificates of Competency and Proficiency issued by these countries’ maritime authorities may be recognised for service on Zanzibar-flagged vessels, subject to verification and compliance with applicable TZIRS requirements.
• Acceptance of documents is subject to confirmation of authenticity, validity, and alignment with STCW standards.
• Where additional training, examinations, or endorsements are required, applicants will be advised accordingly under the Registry’s procedures.
