Upon receipt of a duly completed application submitted by the owner of a vessel eligible for registration, requesting the issuance of a Permanent Certificate of Registry, the Registrar may, subject to compliance with the applicable requirements and payment of the prescribed fees, issue a Permanent Certificate of Registry for the vessel.
• Proof of Ownership
Confirmation of the legal ownership of the vessel in accordance with registry requirements.
• Cancellation or Surrender of Previous Registration
Evidence that any prior foreign registration, certificate, or marine document has been properly surrendered with the consent of the issuing authority, or has been legally cancelled.
• Seaworthiness of the Vessel
Documentation confirming that the vessel is in a seaworthy condition and suitable for safe navigation.
• Payment of Applicable Fees
Verification that all registration fees and related charges have been paid in full.
• Compliance with Vessel Marking Requirements
Confirmation that the vessel’s name, official number, tonnage details, and port of registry have been correctly and permanently affixed as required.
• Measurement Certification
Submission of a valid Certificate of Measurement issued by an authorised body.
Applications for a Permanent Certificate of Registry are processed through the Registry’s online application system to facilitate efficient handling and review.
Once the electronic application has been completed, the authorised signatory or signatories must review, sign, and date the form in the designated sections.
While electronic submission enables expedited preliminary processing, applicants are required to forward the original signed documentation to the Registry’s designated office in accordance with procedural requirements.
